JAMcafé is a Bistro

This controversy has raged on through the centuries, and continues in cities like Toronto until today. What is a restaurant? What is a brasserie? What indeed is a Bistro? Entire nations have taken up arms trying to settle these questions.

Some have tried the easy route, claiming that restaurant is merely the category that contains brasseries and bistros. Their opponents are opposed, saying that a restaurant is also more sophisticated than a bistro. They define a bistro as a simple restaurant that serves wine, but do not allow that a bistro can be more.

We think that this false conflict stems from semantic infatuation. The same intense infatuation that our patrons have for JAMcafe. Please help to reduce global strife by simply coming in to JAMcafe for dinner, and then decide for yourself if we are a bistro.
